Our story

The social enterprise BOK&LK s.r.o. began its activities in June 2013, when it built a laundry and ironing room in Kadaň. The company gradually expanded to include other activities, in particular the washing of hygienic linen for healthcare facilities and social care facilities, cleaning and janitorial work, hourly husband services and a sewing workshop. The sewing workshop primarily focuses on sewing products based on the well-known Priessnitz wrap. The products are used for all parts of the body and are intended for children and adults. The company would like to cover the market in the entire Czech Republic and gradually abroad with its products, they can now be purchased in the e-shop and at sales events.

The services are provided mainly by employees from the target group of people with health problems and people registered with the Employment Office for a long time. The selection of employees is carried out in cooperation with the Labour Office and NGOs that work with this target group. The owners of the company are active participants in social inclusion processes in cooperation with the City of Kadaň, the Labour Office.

All activities of the social enterprise are based on the principles of social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic, which are enshrined in legal documents declaring the establishment and functioning of the SP. The founding document of the social enterprise BOK&LK s.r.o. is available on the Justice.cz portal in the collection of documents under file number C29236, Regional Court in Ústí nad Labem.

Principles of social entrepreneurship:

1. The company aims to implement social economy within its business activities in order to develop these activities and support other local activities of general benefit - e.g. activities of non-profit organizations.

2. The company will strive to generate profit, which will be reinvested in the amount of 55% (in words fifty-five percent) in the development of its services and improving their quality. The company will focus on providing services and selling products, where sales from these activities will amount to at least 30% (in words thirty percent) of the company's total revenues, and in the period when the company will use subsidies where these conditions are binding.

3. The company will employ at least 40% (in words forty percent) of its employees from the group of people socially excluded or at risk of social exclusion and support their social inclusion. For this purpose, the company will use personnel and integration tools supporting the development and integration of these employees.

4. The company will adhere to democratic principles of decision-making in the entire work team in the form of regular team meetings and mass voting.

5. The company will openly present its goals and objectives, the principles of its business and thus spread the idea of ​​social capital and social economy in the awareness of society.

6. The company will prioritize the use of local resources for the purpose of local development and will support the idea of ​​social responsibility in addressing local needs. In particular, it will give priority to employing local residents and purchasing from local suppliers.

7. The company will adhere to the principles of environmental management.

 

 

Principles of environmental behavior of the company:

1. Waste sorting

Each service must comply with the following rules:

a. The organization ensures that each service has a contract with a waste disposal company

b. The organization ensures that three containers are placed in each facility (mixed waste, plastic, paper)

2. Energy use

Light

a. The organization ensures that unused spaces are turned off

b. The organization uses energy-saving lighting in workplaces

Heat

a. The organization ensures that heating is turned off in unused spaces

b. The organization ensures that unnecessary heat loss does not occur

Electricity

a. The organization performs regular inspections of appliances

b. The organization ensures that unused appliances are turned off

Water

a. The organization ensures that cold and hot water are saved

b. The organization regularly evaluates the quality of discharged chemicals into waste

3. Use of materials

The organization uses recycled paper and recycled toners for printers

  • Average converted number of employees with disabilities - 121%
  • Revenue from sales of products and services from total revenues - approximately 60%
  • Reinvested profit - 458,420,- (55%) used as a reserve to cover payroll costs.

  • As of 31. 12. 2021, we employ 47 employees - of which 33 are people with disabilities and 10 people registered with the Local Employment Office for a long time

  • Reinvested profit - 1,400 290,- (55%) used as a reserve to cover wage costs
  • Regular meetings with employees, provision of individual consultancy and cooperation with external organisations to support the development of personal and professional growth
  • Cooperation with local suppliers, customers and actors such as the Local Employment Office, the city of Kadaň and others
  • We employ more than 90% of employees from the Chomutov district

YEAR 2021 as of 31. 12. 2022

  • Average converted number of employees with disabilities - 108%
  • As of 31. 12. 2022, we employ 43 employees - of which 30 are people with disabilities and 4 people registered with the Local Employment Office for a long time
  • Revenue from the sale of products and services from total revenues - approx. 65%
  • Economic result for reinvestment - 1,230,849,- (55%)
  • As a reinvestment for the development of business services and improving their quality, costs were spent on small assets, property repairs, marketing in the amount of 630 thousand and 770 thousand were used as a reserve to cover wage costs.
