Priessnitz (wet steam) wrap:

Instructions for using the Priessnitz wrap:

Soak the inner removable cotton part of the wrap belt in cold water (use less cold water for children).
Place the well-wrung cotton part into the wrap belt. Apply to the body and fasten with Velcro so that the wrap adheres to the body as well as possible and its effect is maximized. A break is necessary after applying the wrap.

Do not leave the Priessnitz wrap on overnight! The wrap must not be applied to infected areas, poorly healing wounds, skin diseases such as eczema, and so on. If applying the wrap to small children, it is best to consult a doctor first.

Dry – warm wraps can be used as wraps on their own, but to increase the effect of the heat, you can warm the inner cotton part, e.g., by ironing it. We recommend using heating pads that can be conveniently heated in the microwave, specifically cherry pits. Buckwheat heating pads heat up on their own – detailed instructions can be found in the heating pads category.

Since our belts are multipurpose, meaning they can be used not only as Priessnitz wraps but also as dry warm wraps, we also offer heating pads. The pads are filled with natural, organic materials, namely buckwheat hulls or cherry pits.

• Cherry pits:
  The pad is made of cherry pits and cotton fabric. The pad is filled with cherry pits and when heated, the aroma is wonderfully released. The pads are primarily intended as filling for wrap belts, but the shape of the cherry pit pad is also suitable for treating smaller areas, such as insect bites or burns.

Use of the cherry pit pad – HEATING

Heat in a microwave oven at 400 W in 10 to 15 second intervals,

with supervision, breaks, and temperature testing, especially when used on children.

Place in the wrap strips and then apply to the painful areas.

Warning: Do not leave unattended while heating – there is a risk of ignition if overheated.

for minor burns that do not require medical attention

A cold buckwheat compress is more comfortable for children than an ice pack or gel compress.
