Multipurpose neck wrap for children - Pink
This children's neck wrap can be used either as a Priessnitz compress (wet wrap) or as a dry, warm wrap. We recommend this wrap for children aged three and older.
The Priessnitz compress (a wet, steam-generating wrap) is a traditional natural remedy. Based on the methods of Vincenz Priessnitz, it provides relief for:
– sore or scratchy throat
– dry cough or tonsillitis
– laryngitis

Instructions for using the Priessnitz wrap:
Soak the removable inner cotton section of the wrap in cold water (use less cold water for children).
Wring out the cotton section thoroughly and insert it into the wrap. Place it against the body and secure it with the Velcro fastener so that the wrap fits snugly and maximizes its effectiveness. Leave the wrap on for ten to twenty minutes, then remove it. A break is required after the application. Repeat until symptoms subside.
Do not leave the Priessnitz wrap on overnight! The wrap must not be applied to infected areas, slow-healing wounds, or skin conditions such as eczema. It is advisable to consult a doctor before using the wrap on small children.
Parental supervision is required when using the Priessnitz wrap on a child's neck; an adult should oversee both the application and the process to ensure it is done correctly and safely.

The wrap can be used as a dry, warm compress; to enhance the warming effect, you can heat the inner cotton section (e.g., by ironing it). We recommend using warming pads—such as those filled with cherry pits—which can be conveniently heated in a microwave.
